Engine Research for Climate Protection
At the 16th international conference “The Internal Working Process of the Combustion Engine” 260 experts on the topics of fuel consumption and measurement technology exchanged views and recent findings in order to get a grip on the emissions generated by the continuously growing freight volume. Through their research the Large Engines Competence Center, Austria’s leading research facility for of combustion technology and large engines, and the Institute of Internal Combustion Engines and Thermodynamics at the Graz University of Technology are making essential contributions in reducing the emissions from utility vehicles, ships und trains.
“The key to sustainable freight transport is always an integral view of the entire system, from the production of fuel to its implementation in the engine.” – Andreas Wimmer, LEC CEO
