LEC wins Energy Globe STYRIA AWARD 2024!
The excitement is great! The Energy Globe STYRIA AWARD 2024 in the category research goes to the LEC!
The COMET K1 research centre impressed the jury with its successful ammonia research, which demonstrates the enormous potential of this e-fuel as an important key to the energy transition. The LEC team, working under the leadership of Prof Andreas Wimmer, has been doing important pioneering work in the use of e-fuels for climate-neutral large engine applications for many years.
The LEC congratulates all winners and finalists of the Energy Globe STYRIA AWARD 2024 and would like to thank the Province of Styria, Energie Steiermark and Verkehrsverbund Steiermark for honouring them with the prestigious energy, environment and climate award.
