Green Super Engines to Become Even More Efficient
How to get the most out of large engines and make them more environmentally friendly at the same time - this is what researchers at the Technical University of Graz are working on. They are using new scientific approaches and are sure that "a few percent are still possible". The newspaper Die Presse reported about this.
“We are already very close to the limit of what is possible”, says mechanical engineer and CEO of the Large Engines Competence Center (LEC) Andreas Wimmer. “But a few percent more might be feasable.”
Getting out these last few percentages is the aim of a research project carried out by the researchers from Graz which has been approved recently by the Austrian Reseach Promotion Agency FFG along with five other projects. A total of twelve million Euros of federal funding are available for these projects.
