The forum provided an overview of the current possibilities and developments in the field of emission-free ocean shipping and points out potentials for future innovations and cooperations. 10 highly innovative international shipping research projects such as HyMethShip or AIRCOAT were presented and discussed.

The aim of the first Sustainable Shipping Technologies Forum, which took place in parallel and in close cooperation with the 17th Symposium “The working process of the combustion engine”, was to network the relevant actors for an emission-free future. With their agenda, both events aimed to underline the necessity and importance of sustainable solutions in the areas of mobility, transport and energy generation.

Excellent networking opportunities with an estimated 300 experts, opinion leaders and political decision-makers from all over the world was an additional asset of the two-day conference.
